Will trainer Sir Patrick Hogan's horse Precedence be the 150th Melbourne Cup Winner

Sir Patrick Hogan is hoping for a Melbourne Cup Winner this year in 2010. With his first AJC Derby winner back 42 years ago, he wants this years Melbourne Cup quite badly.

He owns a third of the wonderful horse called Precedence. He has breed many Group 1 winners over the years which earned him his knighthood in 1998. Sir Patrick Hogan is an Irish born New Zealander. He has won the Auckland, Wellington and New Zealand cups over in New Zealand. He has won many cups and now wants to win the ultimate prize known as the Melbourne Cup.

The Melbourne Cup Winner will be a very memorable one. It is the 150th Melbourne Cup this year since it started back in 1861. It was won back then by a horse named Archer. Will Precedence take precedence over the other horses this year. It is in with a chance.

As a personal friend of Bart Cummings for over 40 years. He wants Bart to train Precedence to win. If Bart Cummings wins this year it will be his 13th Melbourne Cup win. This will take him well in the lead of Melbourne Cup wins. Bart Cummings has a outstanding record of 7 Caulfield Cup wins and 12 Melbourne Cup wins. He is a force to be reckoned with.

The Melbourne Cup is into its 150th year. It will be a very special day on the first tuesday in November this year. The race that stops the nation has just gotten a whole lot better.
